Santiago. - Authorities arrested the Cabarete District mayor Gabriel Mora today Tuesday (Canoa) attempted murder of a trader.
Puerto Plata District judge Rafael Osiris Vega issued the arrest warrant for the beleaguered official, charged with of firing three times against the businessman Ambiorix Vargas, while the victim was driving his car down the alley La Loma de Cabarete.
Mora, who according to citysantiago.com will be arraigned today, faces various charges filed by Cabarete residents for aggression and misappropriation of City Council funds, and has been arrested and released several times.

Cabarete is already a popular destination for kite surfing, and will grow, unless assholes like this spoil it with his behavior. It is good to see the locals taking a stand, which seems to be unique to this place, maybe because a higher proportion of the businesses are run by foreigners?
