Santo Domingo.- President elect Danilo Medina is committed to create the Ethics and Transparency Directorate to fight corruption and enforce the law effectively, said the prominent sociologist Ramon Tejada Holguin on Tuesday.

A political analyst who worked on the institutional team of Medina’s campaign, Tejada said the Administration which takes office August 16 will have to "respect the law starting with the President."

"The whole state will respect the law," Tejada said quoted by CDN Channel 37.

The university professor also called the lack of respect for institutions a "huge deficit" which isn’t normal, since the existing laws aren’t effectively enforced as them citizens demand. "The state has been slow in implementing the laws."

The Danilistas throw the Lie-onelistas under the Bus at least just for a Media Show!

However, if he does carry out this threat the spilt in the PLD will make the current split in the PRD look like a Pillow Fight!

My hunch is that Danilo will surprise everyone, including his supporters, and "do the right thing", and that translates to having a brand spanking new cabinet, with young technocrats, instead of the old and tired mega corrupt, that will be told to be lucky to go home, and not to Najayo.
Maybe I am just wishful thinking.......

I think the first step of Hipolito is to prosecute josean and the sinverguenza del PPH. : pepe goico, the thug of Gomez masara, franco badia, felix cuervo,el consul chino, etc, etc....

But PLEASE begin with the crook of Josean, cuz we are done with his speculation!!.

Right.. 4 %

Not like Hipolito, that get from 2.4% to 1 % national budget for education..
That's why they lose the election!

Me too, Generoso.
I got a chance to see Medina on a TV interview. He seemed smart, passionate of his goals, and sincere about doing the right thing for DR. As you said, He may surprise everyone with an honest, "by the book", type of governance. He may establish a precedent by which future rulers will have to adhere to in running the nation....Let's hope so.

@jojosnogood...=josean

You are the palomo..I am pretty sure I could be your father..You can call me "daddy"
Answering your question...I just cross the Rio Grande...Wet back dude :)

Why are you so focus on Felix bautista when there are at LEAST 50 people that should be prosecuted and stole 100 times more?
Do you want me to name it to you?

I agree with ronevane.. surely Medina has a plan of government and seem to be honest with his project..He was the most dynamic secretary of state in the national palace..and with Margot that made the biggest social job EVER done in the national palace as well it would be an excellent couple..

I certainly agree that we are lucky to have them as leaders of our country..!
