Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies yesterday approved various  loans totaling US$265.3 million and 20.6 million euros without reading their contents of study by committee.

Some lawmakers of the opposition PRD party criticized the decision, questioning their colleagues who didn’t even bother to read the contract before the vote.

One contract for US$216.8 million is for the first funding for construction of sewage treatment plants in Santiago province, and another of US$10 million from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Agriculture Ministry’s Health and Agro-alimentary Program, to benefit 24,000 households in 20 provinces.

The deputies also approved a 9.2 million euro loan from the International Development Agricultural Fund for the North, Central and East regions’ rural economic development, and yet another for 11.4 million euros from Spain, for food safety.

I knew that visit to Spain was going to bring grave outcome to DR., First the Minister of Tourism

wanted to irradicate Porfirio Rubirosa from the DR's history as if never existed, hiding out the truth

and history is as close as you could get to dictarorship.Porfirio Rubirosa was to DR as Fidel is to

Cuba, since they both put their respective home Islands in the Map. The Europeans knew Porfirio

before Trujillo, which reminds me he was also Ranfis baby sitter,wo could't behave civil in public.

Then this loan from Spain to make the last killing before leaving the palace alone with his other

stoogies. Wouldn't be too bad if the lenders are to do the project themselves or at least supervise

as to the appropiation of funds to be for what it was intended .Those guys are nothing more than

Cliptomaniats. They can't see fundings available that they don't get their hands in it.
