The Pentagon, Washington.
Santo Domingo.- National security officials are meeting with US Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano at the US Embassy behind closed doors, with no access for journalists.
Among the participants figure Foreign minister Carlos Morales, Police chief Jose Polanco, US ambassador Raul Izaguirre, the Metropolitan Transit Authority director Joseph Sanz Jiminian and Armed Forces minister Joaquin Virgilio Perez.
The US official arrived to the embassy shortly before 10am, when it immediately began.
Various news outlets have reported that Napolitano will represent Washington to sign an agreement with the Dominican Government to utilize Predator unmanned planes in the joint war on drug trafficking.

I am ambivalent about the Predators. For one thing it is a good thing to control Haitian border trespassing and illegal incursions, as well as contraband of weapons, humans, drugs.
But on the other side of the coin, it is an infringement of DR airspace and sovereign territory, so what is the quid pro quo? Anyway, I am not big on having big brother snooping as they wish, some day this surveillance could be used for other purposes.

The Americans want their spy planes over every country so they can start killing innocent people with no remorse. These plans are like some video game where you can kill someone and you feel joy. The drug problem is in the US keep it there.

the dr is one trash can in the caribbean.
the people ,of the dr are only into scams and fraud and the only way they they can make any money is to sell drugs rob cars, shop lift, sell phoney real estate and in many cases sell their so-called wifes and so-called children.
u need spy planes but the us needs also to drop a couple of big bombs on this trash can of an country and do the world a hugh favor.
very few good people come out of the dr.

For people that doesnt know, there is always military training in DR with US armed forces.That is nothing new.
To have a drone checking the skies is a good thing : It means that we dont have anything to hide.No coperation with US can carry BIG nasty consequences.
The fact that Josean is speculating again with a hit on Danilo is a sensitive topic that gets on my nerves and I consider t of a VERY bad taste and inmature.
