Santo Domingo.- Alleged hacker José Ángel Gómez (Jochi) said Monday he will not suffer a "teke teke” in reference  to an attack of nerves, “or anything like that" while behind bars, to await trial on charges he accessed at least 44 email accounts to various local personalities.

Speaking to CDN TV, Gomez seemed calm and in stable health while being escorted from prison to the Office of the Prosecutor, where his lawyer Carlos Balcácer will file a motion for his release today.

Gomez’ affirmation comes two days after the Office of the Prosecutor requested a medical certificate on his health, after he suffered a "nervous breakdown" Thursday in a cell at the Ciudad Nueva Courthouse jail where he’s being held.

The son of prominent TV producer and journalist Guillermo Gomez, the alleged hacker has the most complaints ever filed in that type of case, 44.

He tried simulating being "bonkers" (a preferred ruse for getting out of jail, by influential felons) and not only it didn't work, but backfired on him, since this is a high profile case.
I am betting any even money that Mr. Gomez jr. is going straight to Najayo this afternoon, there his dad can buy him his own air conditioned apartment for RD$400K pesos, and equip it with air, satellite TV, gourmet kitchen, fridge, and wireless internet.
That was the regular price a couple of years ago, but it might have gone up with inflation.

Many years back when they introduced tone dialing some shape cookie built a simple tone generator and learned to make calls from pay phones for nothing, including of course long distance. Rather than fix the problem they were going to imprison the man and he told the court that he feared for his personal safety, and should some cons corner him he could offer nothing to them but the knowledge of how to make the calls themselves. The phone company decided to waive charges and hired the man.
