SANTO DOMINGO.- The lawyer Julio Cury presented airline tickets which allegedly prove that ex president Hipolito Mejía, his son Felipe and personal aide general Carlos Diaz Morfa flew to Culiacan, Sinaloa from Mexico City at 3:45pm February 14 , aboard Copa Airlines flight 6166D, and returned 7:50am two days later aboard Aeromexico flight 289D.
The prominent attorney also showed tax receipt A0200100100007326 issued by Copa Airlines January 31, RD$157,941, as alleged proof that the company Agrocentro, SRL paid the airfares.
Cury said Peravia province senator Wilton Guerrero, charged with slander by Mejia, will have prove his accusation that the former president flew to Mexico on a plane flown by a pilot allegedly linked to the Sinaloa Cartel
Speaking on the program Aeromundo on Color Vision, Cury added that Guerrero’s statement on Mejia’s visit to Sinaloa was "a mendacious, petty invention," in which libel "acquired its highest profiles."

During Hipoloco’s time in office as President, the DR became a failed state with money laundering as the prime source of investment in real estate. Currently, the PRD is split and during the elections the party was having all sorts of problems.
It does not surprise me that Hipoloco went to the cartel for money. PLD is not totally clean either but at least it has done a great campaign in combatting the smugglers.

Just travelling back and forth, running his "business" in Spain with no one bothering him.
