NEW YORK.- Massachusetts federal prosecutors accused the notorious 33-year-old Dominican kingpin Juan Guzman (White Boy / Muchacho Blanco Boy) of heading a powerful drugs gang which earns millions of dollars out of a Boston jail where he’s being held.

He was sentenced to 21- and-a-half years in prison in June 2011 for drugs and firearms possession, together with the also Dominicans Melissa Mejia 28, (Guzman's girlfriend), Martha Tejeda, 54, Tomas (Animal) Soto, 34, Maria Guzman, 28, and Rafael Toribio Vazquez (28).

In a press conference, Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said using cell phones, Guzman and the gang ran the business from the Metropolitan Correctional Center at Concord, and that the network was linked to Mexican drug cartels which also distributed drugs in Dominican Republic.

Guzman, held since June 2011, was nabbed in "Operation Rodeo" conducted by various federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to dismantle the criminal gang.

The prosecutor said the Dominican drug lord is accused of drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, but used his contacts to continue his criminal activity from jail.
