The DR inaugurates many project throughout the year such as the one above... In Haiti, The UN, NGO's, or the DR, also inaugurate projects in Haiti but none are done by the Haitians themselves.

I had to go to la Romana this morning ..followed the Presidential Guard blue bus ...and thought I would see just where the detour around la Romana was...i can see one end near the airport and the other end has been two dirt tracks fo some years but there seems to be no work outside la Romana itself .
But neverthe less ,,he has done more to make this country modern than nearly all the others put together

yes Danny it would have been great if he could have done more in certain areas , especially rducation and the power system ..and also the law and order problems .It is easy to point to things that still need to be fixed but I was referring to all the roads, the bridges, the buildings and the new hospitals and water and sewerage systems that have been built in his prsidency ...I think anyone returning here for the first time in say 6 years would be amazed .

I know the current administration has undertaken projects to improve the road grid and bridges, it has also imported new technology in other fields, but it has failed miserably where it really counts. In over a decade of PLD rule, the gap between social classes has grown wider, education in the DR is the worst among the Latin American nations, and corruption is rampant. If you want a job, you must kiss PLD butts or it won’t happen. The human resource structure of the public agencies is chaos; the agricultural sector alone has over 100 vice presidents and secretaries, considering the size of our island that is outrageous, hundreds of thousands of people are under government payroll but do absolutely nothing. All efforts of the present administration have been to improve the urban areas, what about rural areas and its essential farming sector. Our external debt will come back to bite us in the rear end.

The justice system, Salud Publica, the police, army and navy need an overhaul, all of these entities are rotten from the inside out.

I'm not a PRD sympathizer nor do I sympathize with the PLD. I’m an admirer of Professor Bosch and his political ideals. It is hard to believe that both of both of these political parties were created by a man with such pure and passionate patriotism. I will vote for anyone who I think to be the right man/woman regardless of political affiliations. I think that we have gotten worse over time, back in the 1950s 1960s we had a lot of problems, but we also had men who genuinely cared for the Republic such as Bosch, Caamaño and Coronel Fernandez Dominguez. Today we lack the moral and civic virtues necessary for us to put an end to all the afflictions our country endures. I hope that Danilo even though he has emerged from the PLD has the desire, courage and determination to better things, otherwise we will have to endure another four years of the same…..

Again, i hope so.. I don't know Danilo all that well nor do i know his accomplishments as a politician..
