Santo Domingo.- The Meteorology Office forecasts widely scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday for the Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border zone.

It said the country will continue under an east wind while the arrival of a tropical wave will increase showers and thunderstorms for much of the country Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures will continue seasonably high and recommends that people drink plenty of liquids.

It adds that higher than normal waves affect the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts, for which small craft should remain close to shore.
