Santo Domingo.- Prince Felipe de Borbón, heir to the Spanish throne, will travel to the Dominican Republic today where he will meet with outgoing president Leonel Fernández and president-elect Danilo Medina, whose inauguration ceremony he will attend on Thursday. The prince will attend a dinner hosted by the president in honor of the heads of the visiting international delegations at the National Palace on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, he will attend Danilo Medina’s inauguration ceremony as the new president of the Dominican Republic.

He will also meet with the local Spanish community and prominent Dominicans at a luncheon at the ambassador’s residence.

International Cooperation secretary Jesús Gracia will accompany prince Felipe on this visit.

As well as Felipe de Borbón, Medina’s inauguration will be attended by presidents Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia), Porfirio Lobo (Honduras), Michel Martelly (Haiti), Mauricio Funes (El Salvador) and Ricardo Martinelli (Panama), as well as Puerto Rican governor Luis Fortuño and Taiwanese vice president Wu Den-Yih.

Outgoing president Leonel Fernández visited Madrid last month and met with King Juan Carlos, accompanied by his wife, first lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, who was congratulated by the king for being vice president-elect.

For those that don't listen to the news and make up the news in their heads.Espana has the worst economy in all of Europa and the world, It is around 25% on paper, but any statistician knows there are other factors involved which may in reality make the "real" unemployments rate around 50%. Rate is double. How does this Spanish dictator afford to travel when the people are starving. While he is there attending the "fix" ask him when he is going to bring back all the gold Espana stole from the DR.This is just another dictator like Chavez & Castro who is getting a free pass.

The Prince of Asturias is not a dictator, happened to be the son of the King of Spain,
True Spain has one of the worse economy in Europe if you are going to judge it by its unemployment but forget to mentioned its unemployments are covered by unemployment inssurance at the rate of 400 Euros per month. it's better than Irland,Greece and Portugal.

Diferent from DR's economy whose main employer is the gvt and has no unemployment inssurance. The monarchies in any part of the world gets allocated moneys for such practices
as to represent their gvt like an embassador would, furthermore they get a stepend and salary much hiegher than any LA president including their Prime Minister gets ,Just like the British Monarchie gets. They also have a parliament well represented not appointed as in DR I don't know what kind of news you get but i get Spain TvE directly and the BBC none have commercials.

continue:
As to say Chavez is a dictator is wrong since he was voted in ,no different from LF and the present President of DR.According to democracy terminology any one that is voted in under free election is
concider a democracy.Part that i don't agree on, since you could turn into a dictator once in power.
Such was the case of Hitler and Castro and many others that close down the parliament once in.

As to the stolen gold from its Colonies you could very easly ask the Soviets what they did with it?
In 1937 during the Spanish revolution to tople the Communist Republic of Spain, the Republic decided to take it to Moscow for safe keeping since the US,UK,France,Germany,Italy and USSR were all after it .The Spanish gold was never returned to Spain just like the Trujillo family did to
the DR gold when Franco was in power and brought it to Spain and the entired family had to run for their lives.

Isnt this a great act of the former Slave master taking the time to look to their children? You applaud the Slave master only to have recognized that you are most of all of Spanish origin????? This means apparently so much for the Dominicans, that you are willing to submit yourself in the dust and bowing politely to the former Slave master. Not to mention that you can alienate you from those from haiti!!

Now the real reason Junior is coming!

“Newspaper says Prince Philip comes to DR "in the midst of harassment of Spanish companies"

“They argues that conflicts with Spain companies have been scattered with suspicion of corruption”
“Spanish news portal The Confidential (elconfindencial.com), in Madrid, says that the Prince Felipe de Borbón will reach Dominican Republic this Wednesday, August 15, at a times that in the country (DR) there is a "full harassment towards Spanish companies" installed in the Dominican territory.”

I hate when ppl say I'm Spanish. Butchers, thieves & murderers is what they were when they arrived eons ago. After going to Spain & living there amongst those animals it convinced me even more that we are nothing, linked only by language and that's it. I'd rather be Haitian than a Spaniard. The Basques, Catalans & Andaluces don't want to be Spanish either.
