Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies urgently passed in two consecutive readings a bill that authorizes the Ministry of Hacienda to authorize the approval for Banco de Reservas to lend RD$300,000 to the Santo Domingo East municipality.

These funds will be used to build the Santo Domingo East Municipal Building, which will house its administrative offices. The bill was unanimously approved yesterday by deputies of all parties.

The construction of the Municipal Palace was approved via Resolution No. 63/07 by the Santo Domingo Municipality. It will have five floors and cover an area of approximately 9,500 square meters, with parking areas and spaces to provide the infrastructural needs that are currently lacking.

The Banco de Reservas will deduct the established instalments and interest from the Santo Domingo East municipality’s account every month. The sums involved were not disclosed.

*facepalm * No schools, are you pretending to be stupid ? Schools can't impede important projects like this from happening, it's an essential administrative office dude get over that OCD of yours. There are schools, just not the necessary funds to fund most of them.
