SANTO DOMINGO.- The US Coast Guard and Dominican Navy yesterday seized more than 1,000 kilos of cocaine on the high seas, headed to Puerto Rico.

Dominican authorities arrested Four Colombians aboard the speedboat carrying the cocaine and were handed over to Puerto Rico agents.

The drug was in 20 packages aboard the Puerto Rico registry boat.

The operation was reportedly uncovered after an investigation by Dominican and US authorities and comes just days after the two countries seized an additional  66 kilos of cocaine also headed to Puerto Rico.

US and Dominican antinarcotics authorities have heightened operations against drug traffickers with intelligence gathering and the use of the “Predator” unmanned aircraft.

More stress coming on this hereto gold line that connects South America to the cash cows of Europe and US via the Caribbean and Central America. What will these guys do? In the short term, more crime is expected as these guys will seek to move towards other lines of criminal activities to make a living. So expect the prison population to swell in these countries.

Why capture them? Wouldn't it be better to shoot them and feed the fishes and other marine creatures?

I'm just sayin'

yes like the cubans did in miami they made their bucks in the drug trade
now they are into big time in the medicare fraud}
and any other scams they can get into.
as long as its big dollars and they dont have to work for this money.
one needs to understand in cuba they dont have jobs nor need to work they can party all day and all night mr. castro takes care of them.
many cubans i know in florida have gone back to cuba i asked why are they doing this.
they said s...t in the states we have to work for a living or steal better in cuba.
have a nice life in cuba i hope and pray they stay over there with the leader for over 53 years mr castro.

like that idea very much.
good thoughts u have.
when china had a hugh drug problem what they did was send their army in to towns and cities if they found any one using or selling drugs not only would the army or police lock-up or kill this drug user or seller on the spot many times they would also do the same to their family members.
guess what in a very short time the drug business was gone in china.
