SANTO DOMINGO.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported Monday noon that 25,845 people had to be evacuated,  with 5,059 homes damaged from Tropical Storm Isaac’s downpours.

It said Pedernales, Barahona, Santo Domingo, Independencia National District, Monte Plata, San Juan, Bahoruco, San Cristóbal,Peravia, Duarte, San José de Ocoa and Azua provinces are still under flash flood alert.

The COE added 2,225 people are in designated shelters, as downpours continue over some southwestern provinces.

here comes the colera, dengue, mosquitos and those asking for funds to help restore everything back to normal. what a crock the same problems in the same areas ... this shit is pathetic. but any way f&*$ them i go straight to the resorts and back again... all inclusive baby !!!!

You'd think the Haitian government would open the border and and let the 250,000 evacuees in . (Don't tell them it was only 25,000 affected). Within a year maybe we can up the figure to 2.5 million Dominican evacuees sh*ting and p*ssing in every alley in every town in Haiti.
