Santo Domingo.- Most of the country awoke to clear skies and despite the several cloud masses hovering above, the National Meteorology Office forecasts low possibility of rains.

It said it will be mostly sunny the rest of the work week, as a high pressure system over the Atlantic coast continues its impact.

It forecasts however of some widely scattered showers for the area of Los Haitises National Part and Monte Plata province, in the northeast section.

Meteorology adds that it doesn’t expect any major rainfall for the weekend, with possible evening showers for some parts of the Northeast and Central Mountains.
