Santo Domingo. - The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) seized nearly 30 kilos of cocaine in 28 plastic bags yesterday afternoon before being shipped to Barcelona, Spain, weighing just over one kilo each.

The DNCD identified one of the suspects as Rosa Emilia Carmona Pozo, who resides in Santo Domingo, and the other as Jose Luis Merino Baez, who would allegedly receive the drug via courier in Spain.

"It's been a recurring practice of international trafficking networks to employ private firms to send drugs abroad via mail, mainly to Europe and the U.S., but most are detected by our staff," said DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebron.

Who says it doesn't snow in the DR? They have enough year round to cover the Pico Duarte.

Build those chair rails and start skiing.

Don't blame this problem on US demand. Don't you know that where there is supply there is demand and not visa versa. Shut off supply lines and they will go back to caffeine and diet pills that is at least a domestic supply.

Shut of the demand and the problem will go away. Poison all the shipments and let them go through the problem will end.

With the help of the USA of course. We don't even take the birds purchased from Brazil out for a ride , let alone troll for drug dealers now that we have the U.S drones flying overhead........

The dominican republic needs to grow-up already!!!!!
