Santo Domingo.- The power company Haina (EGE Haina), its directors and Haina Investment Co (HIC), on Thursday called false all allegations in the complaint filed with the National District Office of the Prosecutor, by the last director of the Reformed State-owned Companies Endowment Fund (Fonper), Jose Izquierdo, and its attorneys and lawyers.
In a statement to the media, the operator of power plants claims that the arguments of alleged US$90.0 million fraud are groundless legally and contractually, and shows ignorance on the part of the complainant about the applicable laws and the power sector.
"EGE Haina has been characterized by the efficiency and transparency in its operations, which still maintain excellent relations between the government and private partners," said EGE Haina, which shares the plant’s ownership with the state.
Overall, it said, they have spurred a steady development of the company for the benefit of Dominicans through growth and diversification of the national energy matrix. "Given that there’s an ongoing legal process, the company will provide appropriate explanations to the competent authorities in this case."

As I said in the original article , the Prosecutors office should stop this practice of making accusations before they have completed cases and have either made arrests or issued warrents.Time and time again we see that they back down from their staements .
They are as useless in investigating as they are in prosecuting but even worse in making making press statements .

When the government was out conducting illegal raids, and tapping private citizens phones and harassing journalist during the election you were not so incensed about those civil rights violations. Since they were political witch hunts that favored your criminal political party staying in power. However, since apparently you believe like Mitt Romney that "corporations are people too" you want special treatment and civil rights for them.
Yes, I sympathize with the French Revolution and the storming of the Bastille! You on the other hand are afraid that cases like this open the minds of the Dominican people and they start demanding more accountability and prosecution of thrcriminal elites that you defend so much. I am sure they have been audited many times as they are part government owned and would welcome another audit ,,,but surely , if you are to make grave accusations you would do an audit before making the statements
