Santo Domingo.-  Most of the complaints of alleged corruption and other criminal activity filed during the last election campaign have been discarted.

During that period citizens, politicians and civil society groups filed a complaint against senator Felix Bautista, former first lady Margarita Cedeño, and Diandino Peña, head of the construction of Santo Domingo’s subway lines, for alleged corruption in their posts.

Complaints were filed in the Anti-Corruption Dept. (DPCA), but were discarded on alleged lack of proof.

During the race for the Palace  Dominican and Haiti authorities accused ex coronel Pedro Julio Goico (Pepe) of plotting against Michael Martelly. National District prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso investigated the case but couldn’t find solid evidence of conspiracy.

On August 13 DPCA director Hotoniel Bonilla discarded corruption allegations, in Haiti’s reconstruction against Bautista, Senator for San Juan province, filed by the campaign of opposition PRD party presidential candidate Hipólito Mejía

The Dominican Anti-Corruption Alliance also charged Bautista with irregularities in the use of more than RD$12.0 billion while heading the Government Works Supervisory Office, but it was also shelved.

Also discarded were the PRD charge of ballooned costs of subway cars for Lines 1 and 2 against Peña, and the corruption allegation by TV producer Marcos Martinez against ex first lady.

These two are laughing on there way to the bank while conducting the act of shooting their man goo on the faces of the dominican people followed by slapping the republic in the face with their empty gun. Similar to the classic pearl necklace, but with a more specific target.

The Next President of the Dominican Republic Speaks!

Measures taken by Danilo Medina "are cosmetic", says Guillermo Moreno

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic.- The former presidential candidate of the Alianza País party, Guillermo Moreno, said Tuesday that the measures so far taken by the Government of Danilo Medina are “cosmetic.” “So far the entire set of measures or pronouncements made by the new Government are cosmetic and still do not reflected in reality real measures that involve a breakdown or a change of the previous model."

"I say cosmetic because after a government that lasted eight years, this one needs to seek legitimacy and nothing would be better than having a discourse that connects with some of the aspirations of the society, but if we look we see that he never touches the fundamentals and always remains on the surface." "He says we are going to make an ethical government, but at the same time it has reiterated the cleaning of the slate with respect to the corrupt and the eight years of the previous government."

Guillermo Moreno argued that the "best example is that Department called National Department of Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (DPCA) persecution which remains unchanged."

A Department that had the audacity just a few hours before the change of Government to archive a file of great depth as there was on Senator Felix Bautista and the head of that Department is still in office. The same thing cosmetic change happened, to the Ethics Commission, change the name and leave to the same official in charge "Marino Vinicio Castillo, who has been there every year in that role and has shown neither vocation nor will to confront the corrupt..., all this means that we have a Government taking cosmetic measures and doesn’t address the fundamental problems."

Guillermo Moreno spoke in these terms while being interviewed on El Despertador, del Grupo SIN, which is transmitted via antenna Latin, where he pointed out that "one of the largest aberrations that has been committed in this country was appointing Mariano Germán as President of the Supreme Court of Justice", because according to him, he belongs to the former President Leonel Fernández's private office.

He indicated that without removing merits to his "capacity or as a jurist, which is recognized by everyone, but lawyer Mariano Germán is a partner of Leonel Fernández's private office and when worn in at the Supreme Court precisely is to ensure that judicial armor."

"We will see initiatives, but with anything that has to do with players of the corporate group of the Dominican Liberation Party then that judicial armor will go to work especially if there is any action on President Fernandez; and when President Danilo Medina reappoints the last administration’s officials he is saying that they can sleep at night."

Moreno argued that "society has to raise awareness that the Government of President Leonel Fernandez during his eight years worked as a corporate group in which Dominican State was his stage and the budget was his business plan, they did business on the basis of the budget."
He said that within the PLD "today it’s an economic group not a political group, its an economic group that uses politics to reproduce itself and to continue accumulating."

"This group has become for this government an untouchable group... legally and we have a Ministry of the Public Prosecutor who is subordinate and which lacks independence and will."

Super, it would have to be a Noriega type of extraction if it could be proven there was criminal complicity with drug trafficking into the United States, perhaps if Figueroa Agosto volunteered some of what many of us suspect he knows!

God help us, I thought Danilo intended to change things for the better. It makes me nauseated to see that Felix Bautista continues to steal with impunity, he must be laughing at how stupid and blind the Dominican people are. How come we’re allowing these bastards to use money that belongs to the state to fund their private enterprises? We will never reach our potential with these crooks running the show. Felix Bautista must be jailed and or killed.

So they have "discarded corruption allegations" Why?? well... I think we all know!

Is it not possible to tax audit him? It's the one thing that has brought down a lot of the large crooks world wide (Al Copone, etc.)... Bring in a international taxation audit team,( who he can't bribe ) and lock his ass away for a very long time, get back all the money, sell his houses etc.etc....
