Santo Domingo.- In the heels of the results of the World Economic Forum’s Competitiveness Report 2012-2013, the young business leaders grouped in ANJE on Tuesday stressed that the government and productive sectors must work to define policies aimed at resolving the problems which limit competitiveness and business development.

“It’s concerning that despite the country’s advance of five positions on the competitive ladder, now occupying 105th place, dismal rates in priority areas to facilitate development and favorable investment climate still remain,” said ANJE president Manuel Cabral.

He said it’s regretful that the country hasn’t had favorable results in electricity service efficiency, on the independence on government decisions, and the legal and institutional effectiveness.
