Santo Domingo.- In broad daylight, at least three gangland style executions have occurred in less than one week.
Two men were found shot to death Saturday inside an SUV parked near the village Gautier, 20 miles west of San Pedro (east).
Three people were arrested, including the vehicle’s owner, and fourth is being sought who’s allegedly linked to drug trafficking.
The bodies of Miguel de Jesus Peña, 37, and Juan Carlos de Jesus Rodriguez were sent to the Forensics.
Also executed was the moneylender and attorney José Mercedes Ureña, 54, on Tuesday, when two men on a motorcycle shot him twice in the neck. At least 15 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
