Santo Domingo.- Dominican authorities Thursday night extradited two men wanted in New York on 12 counts of rape, fraud and theft, the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD ) revealed Frida.

Alvin Cesar Carmona is accused of assaulting and raping the U.S. citizen Kathleen McHugh in May 2009, whereas Melvin Antonio Duarte is charged with grand larceny and mail fraud, a federal offense.

Both men, who were being held at the DNCD compound, were escorted to Las Americas International Airport (AILA) and placed aboard Delta Airlines Flight 488, bound for New York City, said Agency spokesman Roberto Lebron in a statement to the media.

The Supreme Court had separately authorized the handover to the U.S., of the defendants, natives of San Pedro and San Francisco.

Good, get them off the streets. There will be two different scenario once they reach the prisons, One will beg to stay in jail because he will have the time of his life with the Trepas and would be forced to conduct acts only seen on 42nd Street Peep shows from back in da 80's, the other will be sitting around waiting for his day to get out and commit another unlawful act.

So soon the statistics will further show that .on a per capita basis, there are more Dominicans in prison in New York than any other nationality ..and by a long streak . Why is this so ? There seem to be more problems with Dominicans living in the USA than we have with Dominicans living at home .. The gang causing the most problems in San Jose in Costa Rica is also a Dominican gang .Why is it that Dominicans abroad are such a problem ??

Ricardolito,
Most Dominicans living abroad become a menace to society because the majority lack an education and sense of moral integrity. Dominican youngsters upon arrival in the USA don’t make any effort to better themselves, they quickly fall under the influence of the ghetto like behavior and lifestyle we see in the streets of Washington Heights. It is shameful that most Dominicans cannot speak, read and write neither English nor Spanish properly, a complete disgrace.
They have no other option but to take to the streets as they are not fit to form part of a civilized society.

Ricki,
Just look at the examples the government sets and your questions are answered. We had a president that gave you his word followed by a handshake, then do the opposite. We also had a Boriqua Drug Lord banging all (well not all, MOST) the wives of the military and some of the government officials wives and concubines . I'm sure some of these criminals are inspired by what goes on on this beautiful island of ours.
