Santo Domingo.- The Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts that reports low probability of rainfall, but a trough over the Windward Passage will drag humidity that could unleash widely scattered showers.

It said seasonably mild temperatures will continue nationwide, with weather stations at Barahona, Constanza, Santiago Rodríguez, Puerto Plata and San Juan recording as low as 12 degrees Celsius (53.6 F).

Onamet adds that the higher than normal waves continue along the Atlantic Coast and cautioned residents in low-lying coastal areas on possible flooding.

53.6 F in Puerto Plata? That is way colder than it was here, in the frozen tundra of northern New York state, where the temperature reached a balmy 58 F.

Wow, people must really have been freezing under those conditions, since many, I am sure, lack the proper warm clothing for good comfort in such cold conditions.
