Santo Domingo.- A man wanted by the United States in extradition on  Wednesday agreed to leave voluntarily to face charges ??in New York South District Court, becoming the fifth defendant to do so since December.

"I declare that I voluntarily agree to go to the United States, I was not coerced, physically or psychologically. My decision to leave voluntarily was made with my family and my private attorney," said the extraditable Darlin Luciano Duran before Supreme Court justices Miriam Germán, Alejandro Moscoso, Frank Soto, Esther  Agelán and John H Reyes.

Duran had already stated his decision on voluntary extradition to Justice Ministry’s Extradition Dept. director Gisela Cueto and U.S. Embassy attorney Analdi Alcantara .

Duran is charged with five counts of alleged theft and possession of a weapon.
