San Cristobal, Dominican Republic.- Puerto Rican drug kingpin’s paramour Sobeida Felix on Friday told the San Cristobal Sentencing judge that, “I’m ready to rejoin society” in the hearing held on her request for release on parole.

And while outside the heavily guarded San Cristobal Courthouse a preacher voiced prayers for a favorable ruling for Felix, at 10: 26am a group chanted slogans hailing her.

To convice the court, the convict cited the 16 technical courses she completed while serving the last 30 months of a 5 year sentence.

FILE. The judicial district’s new Sentencing judge was slated to hear on 9am Friday the request for release on parole by Sobeida Felix, Puerto Rican kingpin Jose Figueroa Agosto’s paramour.

Judge Willy de Jesus Nuñez will hear arguments by Félix’s lawyers, that their client has served half the sentence on the money laundering convicted.

Justice minister Francisco Dominguez has opposed the release of Felix and the seven other convicts in the notorious case.
