Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office forecasts no rain with cooler temperatures during the early hours today but expected to rise after midday, from the East-Southeast wind.

It said a high pressure system across the Caribbean will dominate the weather conditions, with partly cloudy skies, but with a low probability of rainfall

Meteorology said the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees Celsius during the day and between 19 and 21 degrees at night.

ONAMET adds that small craft should remain in port or sail near shore, on higher than normal waves along the Caribbean and Atlantic coasts.

""with a low probability of rainfall"". So much for this forecast! It's raining now in Santo Domingo.

Is there a correlation between the lack of rainfall and these higher than normal waves? Or are these two mutually exclusive items within the same weather report?

(yes I saw your report that it is actually raining. LOL... Happens here too. Good to see that weatheforecasters are universally inaccurate).

I find that AccuWeather.com gives the most accurate weather.
