Have you seen him? Jhonnathan Onel Báez Guzman.

Santo Domingo.-  Of the 252 people currently wanted by the International Police (Interpol) around the world, 15 are Dominicans sought in connection with various crimes.

Not on the list however is Jhonnathan Onel Báez Guzmán, the man wanted in the killing of Miguel Méndez Figueroa, a 25-year-old windshield washer shot in September 14, in a busy intersection of the upscale sector Bella Vista, in downtown Santo Domingo.

After he fled the country, Interpol was reportedly alerted in the region. Police spokesman Jacobo Mateo said Baez left the country at 4:50pm aboard an Avianca flight to Bogota, Colombia.

The police couldn’t explain why local authorities never ordered his detention if he tried to leave the country, and allow his escape.

@Danilo

I was to young to drive when I live there; however I know how bad it gets when I go back to visit, cause I travel in Taxi, Guagaus and Moto-conchos. Anyway, so you're saying, just because Miguel Méndez Figueroa wanted to clean hi's windshield....

.....Allegedly it was due to a fight with another Haitian suspect, who threw dirty water at his car after he refused to let him clean his windshield.

If you do the math, that's like 6% of the total, but the population of DR is way less than that. What's up with that?

Trujillo miraculously brought back the Tainios by prohibiting the word Negro from being used on the national ID card (cedula), even Johnny Ventura is a "Indio!"

We are a country that lives of myths and superstition because of our abominable educational system controlled by the 16th century Catholic Church because of the backward 1954 Concordat!

Strange how they came up with these numbers - check out the Interpol website and search for yourself

I searched on Nationality Dominican Republic got 149
117 of the count are wanted in the Dominican Republic
20 are wanted in the United States
Of the entire Interpol 132 are wanted in the Dominican Republic.

I am not sure if the search engine is working correctly, but this is far from the numbers in this article. Perhaps someone can explain.

"Perhaps someone can explain."

No need to stress, it is simple, regardless of the numbers, it just means Dominicans are hard to catch.
