President Medina wishes the nation a happy new year

Santo Domingo.– A fewhours before the arrival of 2014, President Danilo Medina expressed his desirethat Dominicans can conquer a solid union, among respect and solidarity.

In a new year’s message, the head of State sent theDominican people his most sincere greetings and happy new year wishes.

"I hope that the new year allows us to continue making positive efforts for the welfare of allcitizens of our country, and above all, achieve a solid union, among feelings of solidarityand respect for our families," said Medina.

The President said he consideres appropriate to reaffirm hiscommitment to continue to work without rest in order to achieve goals that would leadan improvement in the people’s quality of life, through constantefforts aimed at peace, security, health, education and thecreation of more and better jobs.
