Santo Domingo.. - The faction of Dominican Republic’s opposition party (PRD) headed by former president Hipolito Mejia on Friday challenged the Superior Electoral Court’s (TSE) jurisdiction to rule on the cease and desist order requested by party president Miguel Vargas, who seeks the hand over of the organization’s National Headquarters from the Interior and Police Ministry.

The former president’s lawyers asked the high court to desist from hearing the case, claiming that it’s the jurisdiction of the Supreme Administrative Court.

They also requested the handover of the offices to the PRD Executive Committee, so that all party authorities have access and control.

Mejia’s appeal was submitted by PRD interim president Andres Bautista, general secretary Orlando Jorge, and organization secretary Geanilda Vasquez, whose expulsions unleashed the current crisis. Mejia had also been expelled.

This is just a disgrace. These idiots cannot get their crap together "in party" how the hell could they ever expect to rule a nation. This entire fiasco just summarizes this entire country. The rest of the world is just laughing at us.

Josean take note. This is why a "purple mafia" is needed. At least they can keep their sh*t together internally.

Agreed, Hipolito should be a major target.

But don't forget, F@#$% Leonel Fernandez should too.

Getting rid of Hipolito, Leonel, and Vargas would do wonders for DR, in very positive way.

Is the constitution now an accounting journal, for data entry, or a log for political candidates .

Hipolito and Leonel turn the constitution into a worthless piece of paper.

God, how I despise those two suckers.

That pair of thugs should be put in Jail.
