New York.- Dominican activist Maria Teresa Feliciano says she’s thinking of ??running for mayor of Paterson, New Jersey, which she has called home for 40 years.
Quoted by eldia.com.do, Feliciano said she would jump start the city’s economy and halt the downturn of the quality of life of its inhabitants.
According to Feliciano, a native of Santiago and who worked nearly 30 years in the New Jersey Superior Court, Paterson needs radical change to surmount its current crisis.
She would revitalize Paterson as the nearby cities Hoboken, Jersey City and Newark have done, with initiatives to attract new industries.
The election for mayor of Paterson whose 168,000 inhabitants are 57% Latinos, will be held in May next year.
