Santo Domingo.– The Dominican government, through the Foreign Affairs Ministry, denied Friday the rumors about ordering massive repatriation of undocumented Haitians as an alleged retaliation against the ban imposed by Haiti to Dominican poultry products.

In a note received from the Dominican Embassy in Haiti, the Ministry points out: "Dominican authorities are not in the mood of taking any retaliation against citizens or against the Haitian government, because this is not a diplomatic and media war, but a dispute that we believe should be resolved through dialogue, in a spirit of harmony and good neighborliness."

because of the greedy elite minority who use human trafficking for profit, the ones who will end up suffering the hardships of the illegal Haitian population are the 450,000 who are of legal status in the DR who entered the by the books. the est. 800k and growing number of illegals will become desperate and turn to crime for means of survival (most DOMINICANS cant find employment) since less than 1/4 of illegals actually can find means of income, Itll further stigmatize the Haitians within DR, and the wider region that is experiencing mass influx of these people. The media will be holding the trigger, and does not care to hold back scathing details about crimes committed. since Dominican authorities do nothing but worsen matters, people as usual will take the law into there own hands, which is FAR WORSE! history will repeat itself, only this time its Dominicans who will be chanting COUP TETE CAP BOULAY... that's when all hell will break loose on Hispaniola cause it will benefit no one!

Boquechivo is right on, in today's Diario Libre cartoon:

"Would you be so kind as to receive these Haitians in your kingdom, because in our country, there is a "virus" that is killing persons, and we don't want your esteemed labor force to be infected, brother laborer".

Truck slogan: Diplomacy Motors

Sign in the haitian gate: Haitian Empire

Haitian guard: Inoculate, inoculate

Youth organizations against corruption and impunity feel that it's a mockery against the public that legal proceedings against Leonel Fernandez were suspended for an alleged power outage.

as long as someone has a permanent scapegoat, they will never correct the crap they do. four people just lost their lives yesterday in an accident between a truck and a bus, because the guy driving the truck tried to drive ACROSS the highway. i guess some guys will try to blame that on Haitians, too. i am against illegal immigration to any country. however, far too many people here are carrying too much emotional baggage to think rationally. i am aware of the deep emotional scars that are still fresh on the minds of Dominicans in relation to the Haitian occupation, but time has come to give that a rest.

A good memory refresher always serve its purpose! Deport all Haitianos, eliminate tourist industry in DR, stop contructions, dismantle all alcoholic berverages and stop complaining like a bunch of spineless vagabonds. Safeguard all of the above. Word of warning, DR education system is on a very wet downslide slope and the rest of the country is losing ground on all fronts. 50 years from now fancy bachata steps and deceiving geriatic tourits will be a thing of the past and cheap haitianos labor forces will no longer be exploitable. Haitianos $B translated to other market venues. Continue with your myopic misunderstanding and disregard of the global dynamic economy, bank your values on senseless, my skin is light BS. One day you will awaken not to a dream of Hispañola el paraiso but rather then cómo llego en el infierno sin ningún conocimiento. The WEAK Neoliberal Unsustainable Economy that the PLD has constructed since 1996 is a three legged stool:

1. REMMITTANCES from the DIASPORA

2. Cookie cutter boring TOURISM offers

3. Haitian Cheap Labor to build and farm everything

Now I see the Haitians working their butts off down here and all though the state of .... Florida..... Are their hard working Dominicans....... Many in the states and other country's.. In the Dr. Many locals I had met seemed to me that they would rather sit on the malecone for many hours .... Drinking their presidente and Thinking about some way then can F@@k some one out of $100 pesos...... Used to tell them get a job or some kind of work........ They would laugh. ... Ok! Danny 0 a la izquierda,
Listen you wonder of the world, (white haitian), how can you think you know the character of all Dominicans? You just love to throw words out there like lazy, robbers, drug dealers, when referring to Dominicans. Like we are the only people on earth whose citizens only have these characteristics.
Look at your own heritage Danny and I am sure you will find these flaws in abundance.

As for my people we would not have accomplished the many achievements we have if we were as lazy or dishonest as you constantly portray us to be. Why don't you research Dominican accomplishes in the US before you open your hole and let sh!t fly? May I suggest Philadelphia, where Dominicans opened over 500 businesses from 1990-1995? Checkout congress for Dominican-American congressmen. In short Danny-0, your comments are baseless when you generalize. Be specific: I know this guy named so and so, he's Dominican and blah blah blah. You get me petit Garcon?!
