Santo Domingo.– The Holy See told Polish prosecutors that its former ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Polish Archbishop Josef Wesolowski, is covered by diplomatic immunity and that the Vatican does not extradite its citizens.

Wesolowski´s case has raised questions about whether the Vatican, in recalling him from Dominican jurisdiction, was shielding him and giving its own investigations priority over those of the Dominican Republic.

The former ambassador is the highest-ranking Vatican official ever to be investigated for alleged sex abuse. Poland also opened an investigation into the archbishop and a fellow Polish priest.

Reverend Federico Lombardi, spokesman for the Holy See, has denied that Rome was protecting Wesolowski and said that the Vatican was cooperating with outside investigations while conducting its own.

Let us eliminate the concordant and put this pedophile to justice.

Or this faggot can go to jail for 10 years at La Victoria, naked.

Those desperate boys will take care of Wesolowski.

Aw !!

The old nuncio would fit right in La Victoria jail, with a red wig and a mumu type dress. He would be the delight of prisoners, in the crazy ward, or in one of the flooded medieval solitaries.
I see him there eventually.........maybe when hell freezes over.

It's interesting the Vatican just recognized pedophilia is a major issue within the Church but refuses to act upon it when given a chance..

The Vatican just like the PLD quietly dismisses its criminals!

In other embarrassing Catholic/Vatican news they wish they could keep quiet:

Una monja salvadoreña da a luz a un niño en Italia y dice desconocía embarazo

A Salvadorian nun gives birth to a child in Italy and said he was unaware pregnancy

Is this another Immaculate Conception?

One thing you and I agree, is the tearing up of the infamous "concordat", that has no place in a modern and secular society and education.
The concordat and all the assets and privileges, that it confers ONLY to the catholic church, is surely discriminatory and out of sync.
Although the abrasive concordat, has nothing to do, with the diplomatic immunity given to the nuncio, or diplomatic representative of the Vatican, and the pope.

So this repressive, authoritarian organization can say any of its criminals or perverts around the world have diplomatic immunity?

Even in pretty strict diplomatic circles, a diplomat that is accused of felonies, is usually cancelled by the host government, and then extradited to face criminal prosecution. So the immunity in cases of wrongdoing is only temporary.
The Vatican has chosen to protect the "Curia" even in blatant cases, where felonies have been committed.

Did this guy fulfill a diplomatic function or a straightforward religious function? What I'm wondering is if he was a diplomat the whole time or just a toll collecting pedophile?

"Modern papal and Vatican lawlessness and corruption date back to the 1929 Lateran Treaty signed with Benito Mussolini. In order to secure the Church’s approval of his dictatorship, Mussolini created the Vatican City State as a separate nation and its inhabitants, therefore, became immune from all Italian and international law."

"Mussolini also gave Pope Pius XI about a billion dollars in today’s money. The windfall was put under the management of financial genius, Bernardino Nogara. Nogara, closely tied to the “masters of the universe” of his era, united the interests of Catholic Church with that of the global plutocracy through his international and amoral investments having agreed to take the job only if he could handle the funds regardless of ethical and moral considerations."

As a victim of repeated rape at the hands of a Catholic Priest. I am angered by the arrogance of the Vatican for removing the pedophile Wesolowski and protecting this evil man who destroyed the lives of innocent children and their families. He should be in a jail in the Dominican Republic waiting to stand trial for his crimes. I wish I could storm the Vatican walls and bring him back to your Country where he belongs.
The Catholic Church and their current nuncio should be jailed or at least ejected from your country and all of their funds in your banks should be frozen until his return. My thoughts are with the victims and their families, I am so sorry that these evil men hurt you so horribly. Unfortunately I am from the United States and my Country has no courage and is too corrupt to confront the Vatican for thousands of crimes against children. How very sad.

Lets arrest their representative...Card Nick....he hates faggots as he stated in his denouncement of the American Ambassador. We could hold him as an accessory to the crime.

Many Dominicans don't even know about the Concordat. The Vatican will never extradite one of their own, however if this controversy gets enough attention, Dominicans may start pushing to have the Concordat scrapped.

Australian QC Geoffrey Robertson attempted to have Pope Ratzinger arrested on his recent visit to the UK, for complicity about human rights abuses. He knew it wouldn't happen, but the action gained a lot of publicity.

Maybe Super-Yenni is man enough to attempt to have Nicky-the-hat arrested likewize?

It's very sad and tragic for the ones who suffer this mental illness and those who are the victims off it.

Committing pedophilia is a crime but worse is the torture by those who suffered it.

Celibacy in the clergy may be the culprit, who knows.!

Yes paedophilia is one of the worst crimes. It is a crime that brings untold misery to it's victims that often lasts for life. Yet one of the above posters is one and I guess paedophiles will post about it and how awful it is and they are so mentally deranged and deluded criticizing others makes them feel better. This person, in spite of being one constantly, obsessively writes with hate about men who have done the very crime of paedophila or sex with a child/children.

He is up there. He will post and post about it.But some of us know the truth and his noose is getting tighter.
