The National Business Council (Conep) stated its full support to the defense of the country’s image and the sovereign powers on issues of immigration. "One of the Government’s greatest successes has been prioritizing the dialogue between the two countries, which will contribute to surmount the differences and to establish an agenda of constructive cooperation between the two nations."

For his part, of the Dominican Evangelical Council president Fidel Lorenzo Merán said he lauds and appreciates the Head of State’s vigorously before the other presidents; "he did what he had to do."

He said the statements by some foreign dignitaries to the detriment of the country were unfair, so “Medina’s response “appropriate.”
