Small plane makes emergency landing on highway, 2 aboard unhurt

Santo Domingo.- A single-engine plane was forced to make an emergency landing on the Coral Highway (east) Friday, but no reports of the cause as yet.

Local media report that the two people onboard the plane survived unscathed.

The Coral Highway features 4-lane straightways as long as 15 kilometers, which drug-laden planes have used to smuggle drugs from South America.
