Former president Leonel Fernandez congratulates journalists

Santo Domingo.– Former president Leonel Fernandez on Saturday congratulated Dominican journalists in their day and noted the important role played by the media in the construction and maintenance of the national democracy.

In his message Fernandez stresses that through their work journalists contribute to contrasting ideas, the construction of public opinion and to respect citizens’ rights, which lead to strengthening democracy is the country.
