Dominican, Haitian health authorities define strategies to prevent Ebola

Santo Domingo.- Health authorities from the Dominican Republic and Haiti will meet next week define joint strategies aimed at preventing the entry of the Ebola virus into the island as well as the treatment of other infectious diseases.

The announcement was made Friday by Public Health minister Freddy Hidalgo, who said the binational meeting will take place in an undisclosed date.

"Due to the importance of the virus and the measures to prevent its entry into the country, Ebola will be part of the agenda so we can develop a joint strategy," said Hidalgo and added the meeting will be held in Dominican territory.
