Dominican, Venezuela leaders talk undisclosed topics at UN

New York.- President Danilo Medina met with Venezuela counterpart Nicolás Maduro at UN headquarters Tuesday morning to discuss topics of interest for Caracas and Santo Domingo, but weren’t specified by Dominican Republic’s Presidency.

It tweeted that the meeting was a very cordial conversation between the two heads of State. “Venezuela and Dominican Republic have traditionally good diplomatic and trade relations.”

Through the Petrocaribe Agreement, Venezuela provides special economic conditions to sell oil to Dominican Repubilc and other countries of the region.

Medina and Maduro are at the UN to participate in its 69th General Assembly, which the Dominican leader is slated to address Wed. afternoon.
