US Embassy in Santo Domingo announces new visa costs

Santo Domingo.- The U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section on Tuesday announced changes in the cost of some visas that will be applied as of 12 September.

According to a press release, the fee for most non-immigrant visas (tourist, business, transit and student) will remain unchanged, at US$160. Some other fees will be reduced; however, applicants who have already paid will not receive a refund.

The fee for a non-immigrant ‘E’ visa will be reduced from US$270 to US$205, as well as the fees for immigrant visa I-360 and IV special visa (from US$220 to US$205, and the immigrant (IV) visas for workers (from US$405 to US$345).

The cost of non-immigrant ‘K’ visas, for visits from fiances, will increase from US$240 to US$265, while immigrant (IV) visas for immediate family and spouses will now cost US$325 (US$230). For further information on other visa categories, go to santodomingo.usembassy.gov/visas.
