Ex convict reiterates giving ex Dominican President ‘dirty money’

Santo Domingo.- Ex drug trafficking convict Quirino Paulino on Wednesday said he has "interesting facts" to support evidence of his allegation that he gave “dirty money” to former president Leonel Fernandez.

In a tweet quoted by EFE, Paulino said his "priority" is to meet with Justice minister Francisco Dominguez and that he’s willing to give interviews.

The kingpin known as “El Don” returned from the US late February, after serving a 10 year prison sentence in the US for cocaine trafficking.

In a sent a letter to TV host Salvador Holguín the former Dominican Army captain said he provided US$ 4.4 million for Fernandez’s presidential campaigns and the FUNGLODE foundation.

He also tweeted that he was guaranteed a return to the country as a "VIP" with armored SUVs.
