PLD party asks for punishment for murderers of deputy minister

Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) asked the authorities to apply a severe punishment for the murderers of Victoriano Santos, president of that organization in Cotui and Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines.

Santos was killed Friday night at his residence by three armed hooded men who also injured his son, in an incident that has shocked Dominican society.

Santos’s body was taken to the Forensic Pathology Institute in San Francisco de Macoris, while his son was rushed to the emergency room of a clinic in Cotui where he is kept alive.
