Dominican, 2 sons charged with drug trafficking in New Hampshire

New York.- The Dominican Jose Rosario Mariano, 42, was arrested last week by Manchester, New Hampshire police with two of his sons for alleged cocaine trafficking.

Police said the suspect is charged with illegal possession of narcotics with intent to traffic on the streets of Manchester and other New Hampshire towns.

Mariano was charged in 9th District Court last Friday and is one of six men arrested for the same felony, his two sons among them.

His sons were arrested in the heels of an eight-month drug trafficking investigation in the area and were detained before their father.

Rodriguez was arrested during a search of a car carrying nine bricks of cocaine.

Prosecutors asked the court set bail at US$10,000 cash for Rosario, claiming flight risk from his strong ties in the Dominican Republic.

The accused are slated to return to court for arraignment on May 14, when the judge will review the evidence and decide whether to send the case to a jury in North Hillsborough County.
