Dominican ambassadors to tout foreigners regularization plan

Geneva.- Foreign minister Andres Navarro met with 24 Dominican ambassadors accredited in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, so they can explain the progress by the government’s program to regularize foreigners.

During the meeting at UN Geneva headquarters, Navarro urged the diplomats to describe Dominican Republic’s real situation with immigration in every venue and his country’s “unprecedented initiative with a national plan in compliance with procedural laws, the Constitution, national sovereignty and respect for human rights.”

"Let everyone make their judgment on the Dominican Republic, but doing so on the basis of knowledge of our reality and what we are really doing in our country,” the official said.
