UASD and Climate Change Council promote educational initiatives

Santo Domingo.– The Santo Domingo State University (UASD) and the Dominican Republic’s National Climate Change and Clean Development Mechanism Council (CNCCMDL) signed a collaboration agreement to develop and promote educational initiatives, training, knowledge, public participation and access to information on climate change.

The agreement was signed in the Hall of the University by rector Ivan Grullon Fernandez and Omar Ramirez Tejada, executive vice president of the Climate Change Council.

Grullon said he reaffirms the unwavering dedication of his institution to protecting and caring for the country’s environment, and added it is ready to combat climate change, its causes and effects, in order to prevent or mitigate the damage to ecosystems and humans.
