Seven minor quakes shake the southeast, north

Santo Domingo.- Seven 3.0+ magnitude quakes shookthe country Wednesday, mostly eastern La Altagracia province, according to the SantoDomingo State University (UASD) National Seismology Center.

The first quake occurred at 11:47pm Tuesday northeastof Punta Cana, og magnitude 3.3.

The earth shook again 4:12pm Wednesday southeastof Punta Cana at 3.5 magnitude, followed by 3.3 (5:07pm) and 3.4 (5:57pm) tremorssoutheast of San Rafael del Yuma (east), in the Mona Passage

The fifth tremor was at 6:01am, of magnitude 3.2southeast of Mano Juan, Saona Island; and again in San Rafael del Yuma at 7:53pm, with a 3.4 tremor.

The 7th and final quake Wednesday at 7:10 pm wasa 3.4 east of Sosúa, Puerto Plata that also shook the north coast.
