New hearing in big business’ claim of truckers ‘monopoly’

Santo Domingo.- The Superior AdministrativeCourt (TSA) on Monday postponed for 2pm Thursday the hearing on the request foran injunction filed by the National Business Council (Conep) which seeks to endthe alleged monopoly that some unions have over freight transport in the ports.

Judges Diógenes Villalona, Alina Mora andEvelin Torres handed down the ruling to ensure that the plaintiff and the defendantsare aware of the Technical Land Transport Office resolution which regulates thatservice.

The lawyers representing the State made the motionto adjourn, to schedule the testimony of witnesses for the various transport associations.
