Senate president says Danilo Medina and PLD will get landslide victory

Santo Domingo.- Senate president, and senator candidate for the Santo Domingo province, Cristina Lizardo, said the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and its allies will get a landslide victory in the first round of the May 15 presidential election.

During a tour for Santo Domingo East, next to candidate for mayor Alfredo Martinez, Lizardo thanked the residents for their support and said that such a demonstration of support is a sign that President Danilo Medina and the PLD will win in the first round.

Lizardo added that all municipalities are forming campaign teams that will help win the votes that will allow an overwhelming victory for President Medina.

"I have no doubt that our victory in the upcoming election will register a percentage above of the ones we have registered when we won in previous elections. We are ready for that," she pointed out.
