‘Vetoed’ representative fizzles Venezuela talks in Dominican Republic: EFE

Caracas.- Venezuela opposition leader Henrique Capriles on Mondaysaid the possibility of a dialogue between the government and the opposition vanishedover the weekend when official representatives "vetoed" in theDominican Republic the presence of one of its delegates, Carlos Vecchio, whoalong with three deputies formed the opposition representation, EFE reports.

Capriles referred to an alleged decision by the Venezuelangovernment to reject Vecchio, who’s wanted by Caracas authorities after he fledthe country in 2014 when he was arrested along with party colleague LepoldoLopez.

For Capriles, the Government’s "banning" ofVecchio shows it doesn’t want a dialogue.

The also governor of the state of Miranda said for him, theonly dialogue that needed is to "set the date for the recall."
