All Dominicans will inevitably feel the death of Customs director Miguel Cocco, a loss evidenced in yesterday’s crowds that went to the funeral service on Abraham Lincoln avenue, which caused traffic to back up for blocks.
The Government declared Friday an official day of morning for Cocco, who passed away after 15 days under intensive care.
Cocco was combative, passionate and disarming. His steadfast stance against corruption isn’t just something in the press, and those of us who had the privilege to interview him on topics of his responsibility know this well.
Again we have a Dominican to be very proud of.

How can anyone be so moral and remain in cesspools like the PRD, PLD and PRSC?
He may have been a good man on a personal level, but you are either part of the problem or part of the solution.
Juan Bosch was part of the solution! Mr. Cocco was part of the problem!
Let’s not let our emotions and compassion cloud objective historical reality!
He stayed on to fight the wrong.
Guys show must go on .Send the clowns........
