It has now become embarrassingly clear that President Barack Obama, the promising candidate of hope has dropped America’s ball.

Having inherited a ravaged landscape of shock and awe self destruction, created by a man who was anointed the title, the worst American president ever, President Obama had the majority of American’s hope and trust delivered to him on a silver platter. Literally all the man had to do was just a little good and the status quo would have elevated his efforts to one of the most outstanding presidents ever status.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way this president has gotten himself surrounded with some very misguiding advisors who are proving that the same gifted savvy used to win elections, holds no value in cultivating sound leadership.

Having not chosen to do just a little good, but rather embarking down a path of campaign style appeasement to as many constituents as possible is not change, it is dropping the ball in the final game of a championship and an express route to being a one-term president. In the end it will seal America’s fate to, at the very least, a lost decade.

It will reward failure by rewarding Wall Street and disenfranchise the republic to a century of being decoupled from an international economy. It will make America just a vacation spot; a country club for the privileged who will go there just to take a break from the real action and prosperity outside.

The three bounces President Obama’s ball took, after being dropped were: #1, appointing Timothy Geithner after it was discovered Mr. Geithner evaded paying taxes. #2, The bailouts, which included major funding for the same mortgages that were the very culprit of the whole financial meltdown. And #3, permitting Mr. Mark Patterson to be Chief of Staff at the US Treasury Department, a former Goldman Sachs (GS) director of its government affairs branch.

In one foul swoosh he nixed his promises of better ethics, oversight and the weeding out of special interests!

Which is why the world is now subjected to the daily spin of his manager’s, blasting signs of recovery and green shoots galore. In truth, the reality of America today is a country where 70% of its people do not participate in its stock market.

They have become more trusting of gold, foreign markets and in growing instances, foreign currencies. It is a global disgrace, but America is quickly becoming destitute and broke, leaving its citizens no choice, but to take solace in the ideals, principles and methods of many other countries, which were once their very own.

I love how you neo cons (with the emphasis on CONS) want to believe the economic ruination began on January 21st, during the eight years of the Bush regime, everything got bigger, government, the trade deficit, the price of oil and everything remotely related to it, our debt to China, everything got bigger except the average American's paycheck. As the Republican party enters the terminal phase of it's cancer it's loyal suplicants, Cheney, Limbaugh, Rove and some of you guys resort to creating your own fantasy world. The good thing is most Americans ain't buying it. (C'mon fellas, stop hiding behind the sheets, and put them on (you know you want to).

from reuters not Fox .... A major goal of Geithner's maiden visit to China as Treasury secretary is to allay Beijing's concerns that Washington's mushrooming budget deficit and ultra-loose monetary policy will undermine both the dollar and U.S. bonds. China is the biggest foreign owner of U.S. Treasury bonds.

As for the laughter incident, the BBC stated that it came after Geithner told a joke, those who know Asians or have worked in Asia know that public humiliation (laughing at someone, especially an invited guest) is not part of their culture. The people who "created" this story did so in an attempt to embarrass the current administration, they either know little about Asian culture or expect their audieance to know as little. So rather than an informed criticism of Mr. Geithner's policies, we are given a childish, easy to consume ad hominum message " The Chinese laughed at the silly man !"

We hired an unknown man with no experience and now we see that he still thinks he is on the campaign trail ....he talks a good talk but time is running out and he wont' be able too keep the very disparate groups that voted for him happy .

This man who is obviously arrogant is running into the reality he avoided during the election although he still is so full of himself that he cannot accept the fact that he was wrong on so many counts and combined with his "friends" Reid and Pelosi and the extreme left he will have a very hard time not stumbling and when he does they will pounce on him like vultures! I truly feel sorry for him ,but even more so for all of us for we are the guinea pigs in the grand experiments they want to try out.

Well isn't all of this interesting. I have a simple metaphor that I have developed to better explain all of this tension, confusion, despair, etc...that President Obamas actions are causing. First off, I only want to mention what the first step to repairing a severely faulty roof actually looks like. I'm more than positive that any professional of any race is going to have to tear that roof apart to make room for the newer more efficient and meticulously secured tar paper and shingles. What we have for an economy is a leaking 3 tab roof that leaks. Its there...but it doesn't work. You have no virtue if you can't acknolegde that simple fact of life. What I forsee is Obama replacing that dingy roof with some architextural shingles, tiles, or even sheet metal. The psychologies behind the complaints seems to me to be the same psychologies behind the decisions that got this country into this financial situation to begin with. Why don't all of you pick a puzzle to decifer and put in order.

Now tell me how reassuring the puzzle's visage would be to the simple or disengaged observer. If I didn't know you, and I knew that you had already been appointed to decifer the issue and address it accordingly, I would feel no choice but to support your efforts. As far as I'm conserned my constant micromanaging and picking at the smallest moves you make could potentially guarantee your failure to meet the deadline. Well then I guess at that point in time I can say I was right. And that is all that matters, right? That man represents your social security. That is what he is working to restore. It's not so simple a task that any one man could ever grasp the essential effects these unorthodox actions will have in conjunction. So my water ran low., my thermostat busted, my headgasket faulted. I've got oil in all th wrong places now. My car shuts down. Its seems to me that you people think you're out of gas or something . Well I thank God our President is a more certified mechanic than w

Snow job? I'm just supportin the leader. Or howabout mutiny? Sound like a better plan? Whatever happens to this country at this point was inevitable from the beginning. If you can come up with better ideas I feel we as the people should be focusing more on the innovation than on the mistakes of a seemingly faulty president. All you're doing is followin him around whether in favor or against his actions. Baaaaaa. Think beyond the judgment and slanderous controversies directed towards a yes/no stamp man. Focus on ideal of your congress. And become and external board of directives for the white house. Not obama. That's ONE MAN. Who, I reiterate, is more educated than any ONE of us. What have you as citizens willingly and strategically compromised to help restore the economy for eachother. This united country divided by the every individual household. Until we all recivilize and perform like working peices of the machine this country was founded to be, we will not regain our status.

It's interesting that people that blindly chanted the kool aid induced "yes we can" copied from the even more infantile Mexican " Si se puede" criticize any comment which does not follow their goose stepping national socialist ideology...

A dreamer with realistic plans is a visionary ,but a dreamer with plans that are not based on reality is a complete idiot and anyone who follows ANYONE as blindly as the Kool Aid Obama prophet minions is obviously not using his mind .

It is noticeable that Obama supporters either parrot their messiah or make comments that have no substance because they are strong believers in "Magic"....chanting yes we can or clicking their heels "theres no place like home will make things happen..(LOL)

The Obamaniacs believe that if you are nice to people that hate you and want to destroy you somehow they will become our friends and love us,perhaps we should apply the kool aid method to policing and ask the drug dealers and criminals to become law abiding.

People have no right to the money they work for in the New Obama Order ,but people who do not contribute to society MUST have a cell phone (maybe to conduct all their business)

People of such simple minds that accept everything the master says without question and become critical if not violent when any part is questioned of the Obama order.

Last election results I saw and in which I participated in, The Democrats won the White House, The House of Representatives AND after the Al Frankin-Norm Coleman dispute, the Senate. The Democrats nor Obama do not need anything from anybody. So why don't they pass it......Because the American poeple are PISSED off. Who are the 47 million Americans who do not have, yet must have "Health Care". A full one third of them are illegal and the other 2/3rds. choose not to carry employer sponsored insurance or just flat turn it down because it is too expensive in thier eyes. This same idea was tried 16 years ago and did not get any leggs then why do they think they can do it now??

It is funny how people like pepe always want to steer an intellectual argument to the name calling and all those sort of things that ignorants tent to suffer from. i do not believe that Obama was an accidental president, maybe in the Dominican Republic this description will have realism to it, since dominicans hate their africanism and are indefinitely damaged when it comes to their own ethnicity, what a shame. The fact that Obama wants to deal with health early on is good since it would be his most difficult domestic issue to tackle. he is not wasting any time in getting right to work and seeing what the American people want, as far as what we see on TV most of it is the interest groups' working. The americans in the middle and the liberals want for the most part health care reform and they want it know. when I talk about reform, i am not talking about a complete disconnect from what we have now, but a new system that allows flexibility in getting the cost of the health, cont,,,

I for one pays more that 13k a year to cover myself and my family. If I had the choice of changing care provider for less money I'll do it right away. So if the public option is available for less money and same coverage them it will be normal for many people to afford such health care, those are the people that you texasshoe describe as those 47 millions that are upset and do not want it, they are upset because they can not afford it. When it comes to immigrants, me as a very successful immigrant here in the U.S. whose pay a huge amount in taxes believe that illegals immigrants should not be fully covered under such plans, but they must have access to emergency and life threatening procedures that they might need. In other words, they should be covered, but with limitations that a tax paying legal resident will not face. But to simply let them die in the emergency room is simply inhuman and their lives have the same value as your texasshoe in the eyes of GOD, so stop the bigotry.

Dagtan,

I said "illegal immigrants"-They pay no taxes. You pay for insurance because you wish to have coverage for your family. There is currently a law in this country that says, - if you show up at an emergency room at any hospital at any time you must be treated regardless of your ability to pay for the services. If you can not afford insurance there is medicaid for the children and medicare for the elderly. And where is the bigotry that you speak about, and who said anything about letting them die in the emergengy room as that is simply not the case.

I am glad to know that you know that illegal immigrants are not going to be covered by this plan and the government is not doing this to cover illegal immigrants. yes, it is a fact that whoever walks into and emergency room receives emergency care, but that depends on the hospital. i assume that you know what you are talking about, so i am going to take you through the system a little bit. You see, illegals are often transfered to public or non profit hospital to receive treatments, hospital clearly indicate to ambulances to take the patient to the nearest, cont

hospital because they do not have medical insurance and can will most likely not eligible to receive medicaid. These injured are often rejected by the best hospitals in the area, so no, they do not get assistance every where they walk in. i think that both of you need to talk to hones hospital administrators and doctors, i do not know if you have any relatives or people that trust enough to talk to you about the practices that i put forward on this post. I for one have two siblings who are medical doctors and good friends who in the medical administration field and i speak from reliable sources. Finally, let me reiterate, yes they will receive services, but not at every hospital, research a little and you'll see it. Finally, the bigotry is in the tone of your post and using illegals as a bad reason for us here in the U.S. to support health care reform. you sound like those idiots on TV talking about the T4 programs and I am sure they know jack about, it has been simply fed to,

Dag,

ANYBODY who goes into a hospital, anybody, gets treated at an emergengy room, thats the law illegal or not. I went to the ER about a year and a half ago with my wife who was pregnant and spotting and an entire family was there to be treated for colds. I am not spouting any bologna its fact.

texasshoe, you are right, yes they will be treated, you said it yourself. My point is that such hospital if it is a for profit institution will often diver such clients to another hospital. If the person is dying and the such person came to their emergency room by law they have to stabilize the person, not treat the person, note, they only have to stabilized the person in order to move them to a hospital that will take them with no health insurance and their illegal status. I'll give a real life example, if you know about NYC them I urge you to ask someone that is the in health care industry and this example is standard across our country. If you are and illegal and walk into the emergency room of columbia presbyterian in W.H. which a bullet wound, and you do not have insurance and are illegal, they will have to stabilize you, they not even require to perform surgery unless it is life threatening, after you are stabilized, they will send you to harlem hospital for treatment, cont.

so, yes you are right and I indicated that as well, they will save your life but treat you and keep in their beds. On the other hand if you are insured, you will be admitted and treated until you are able to go home. texasshoe, that is a big difference. I hope that you see the point. As far as FredCDobbs, I promise you that as soon as Cuba opens up, I will be on line waiting to buy a beautiful condo in Varadero Beach, which I had the pleasure to visit on business a few years ago. believe it or not FredCDobbs, the professional community here in the U.S. is more and more cooperating with Cuba in fronts such biochemistry, engineering, barometric science and the art of education. Finally, I have not posted in about a year or so, one thing I can say is that the board has been infested with ignorance and childish behavior.
