LA ROMANA. -  The pop star Beyonce Knowles, who’s vacationing in the Dominican East region, will appear in the Altos de Chavón amphitheatre in September for a "grand" performance, said local media reports yesterday.

The coveted performer, who toured several points of the region by helicopter yesterday, will debut in the stone-clad arena, via the impresario George Nader, who accompanied her during her stay in the country.

The newspaper Listin Diario reports that she was impressed by the amphitheatre beautiful ambiance when the helicopter flew over it.

The celebrity expressed her satisfaction upon arriving at the heliport of the exclusive resort Casa de Campo, where shortly after she arrived shortly after 4:00 PM Tuesday, after lunching with the Spanish tourism tycoon Pepe Hidalgo.
