Santo Domingo.– Madonna's film "I Am Because We Are," an arresting presentation of the impact that HIV/AIDS has had on a small nation in an unfamiliar part of an already devastated continent, will have its Dominican premiere at the II Dominican Republic Global Film Festival.

A total of 36 feature-length fiction and documentary films have been confirmed to be screened during the second edition of the festival, which will be celebrated November 19-23.

The Dominican Republic’s most prestigious international film festival will simultaneously be celebrated in five cities: Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Higüey and Nagua, at 10 different venues, making it an event of unprecedented proportions.

Under its motto, Global Issues, Personal Stories, the Festival –an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE)– will bring the Dominican Republic, the best of international film, while at the same time offering opportunities for learning, professional development and the creation of professional networks.

I can't understand all this hate for someone who is doing something great and trying to get attention to something wrong happening in Malawi.

I know the same situation or worse is happening in other places and in our countries but at least she is doing something ,,,what have you all been doing lately for other people that is not complaing or saying stupic things about others ?

I don't care if it Leone Fernandez, Madonna, Alex Rodriguez or a stripper , if you at least are doing something to save life or make a better life for other, you all just shup you fck mouth up !

Peace !
