New York.- The organizers of the Premios Latinos (Latin Prizes) 2010 (Latinitos) announced Sunday that they’ll bestow their top  feminine award to Miss Haiti (2010) Sarodj Bertin during the event in November.

The Haitian beauty will receive the award “Woman of Year 2010,” said the statement.

The organizers said the nominations will be take place Tuesday at 7 a.m. on October 19 during a gala night in Umbrella Lounge & Bar on 202nt St. in Upper Manhattan.

According to my Dad its because her mother was assassinated in HAITI for political reasons; so that is why her father & the rest of the family took refuge to the DR
She was a lawer who was not too happy about the way ARISTIDE was managed the Country aaaand they got rid of her thats is really saaad!

@ DONT_BE_SILENT, Just take a look at the history of the island of Kiskeya Haiti, you will discover why haitians are latinos too .

@ DONT_BE_SILENT, When we say Latino, it’s the castellan word of the word LATIN. Latin is a language whom many other languages derived from: French, Castellan, Italian, Portuguese, Creole..................
